Description
It all started while I watched my daughter play basketball. I was sewing the cut out dolls onto a coordinating fabric. Another mother said, “Wouldn’t it be cute if you…,”
1 Frogs
2 Napkins
9 Extras
The frogs were the fabric I used for my very first quilt class in 1996. I found it a gain and bought a bunch in hopes of making a quilt with it. I think something simple like the Quilt in the Day Rail-Fence pattern. I’ve done those a lot. I didn’t cut it up and patched it, I just used it for a backing. The green flannel I think I used for napkins for the Welcome Baskets.* The cotton was a fabric I was going to coordinate with the Frogs quilt.
*My kids went a Waldorf School up in Mendocino and new families to the school would get Welcome Baskets. I would make cloth napkins in kindergarten approved colors. The children would use baskets in the lower grades to bring their lunch, and they would need a nice sized napkin.
