There is not really one way to describe this particular album to you without strongly recommending it to anyone who loves music and or is in love with loving anything or anyone.Every reveiw in which I have had the pleasure reading in regards to this album have practically said with much expression that it is everything that Yo La Tengo has been and will ever be, always evolving and staying true to themselves.Beautifully perfect. They are their lyrics they live their stories and are very talented in orchestrating it together as yet another masterpeice that is not surprising. Yo La Tengo in spanish means " I have her / it

"and consists of" a husband and wife ( of several years ) duo along with Friend. They are Ira Caplan,Goergia Hubley and James Mc New. They allÊ live in Hoboken,New Jersey. The three of them have been making music together since 1984 with their first full length Lp/album titled " New wave hotdog".Since then they have had out several more wonderful original works, and I say works because Yo la Tengo is involved in many other musical projects. I remember hearing them on a PBS commercial which was a small clip promoting reading I think that would come on in between Muppet re-runs and Teletubbies. They have songs in movies, the most recent was a movie by the director of Hedwig (2000) called "Shortbus" (out now), also (June bug) another indy film, " Game 6 " and "old joy" to name a few.The band is now on tour in Europe and recently played a sold out show in San Fransisco for the newly released album.Sometimes if your paying close enough attention you'll even hear a song or to on the local radio station here in Mendocino County or during the intermissions of "This American Life " on NPR. If you have not heard of Yo la tengo yet ...This is definitely the right album to start your experience with, definitely a work of genius and beauty.
